TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Report

After leaving MLS to become D.C. United's most successful European export, Honduras international Andy Najar could return to the league where he first turned pro and join LAFC, according to Belgian outlet La Dernière Heure and Les Sports.

Najar has been with Belgian titans Anderlecht since 2013, but hasn't played this season following a knee injury suffered while on duty for Honduras prior to last summer's Concacaf Gold Cup.

He would be an allocation acquisition â€“ meaning LAFC, who are currently 23rd out of 26 teams in the allocation order, would have to orchestrate a move up the order to acquire him. Although Najar was D.C.'s second-ever Homegrown Player signing, they didn't retain his MLS rights due to the size of his transfer fee.

At his best, Najar is an international-level right back who can also push into a wide midfield role when needed. He has 14 goals and 16 assists for Anderlecht through 164 games, but staying healthy has proven to be a challenge.

With Steven Beitashour out of contract following the 2019 season, Tristan Blackmon is the strongest current option LAFC have at right back. Najar, if he can regain his best form, would give the defending Supporters' Shield winners a boost.
