FC Dallas acquire Anderson Julio, Sam Junqua joins Real Salt Lake

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Trade - DAL receive: Anderson Julio - RSL receive: Sam Junqua, up to $500k GAM FC Dallas have acquired Ecuadorian forward Anderson Julio from Real Salt Lake in exchange for defender Sam Junqua and up to $500,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), the clubs announced Monday.

Career Summary

Junqua is entering his second season with the club. The California native played at the University of California and was selected eighth overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft by the Houston Dynamo. After spending four seasons with Dynamo Junqua then signed with FC Dallas in 2023 prior to being acquired by Real Salt Lake in the 2024 offseason, a deal that sent Anderson Julio to Dallas. Junqua appeared in 32 matches with RSL in 2025, scoring one goal and notching an assist.
