Toronto FC have a simple message for Serie A side Torino: We appreciate your interest in Michael Bradley, but he's not for sale and neither are any of our other Designated Players
On Saturday, the Toronto Sun confirmed that Torino had reached out to TFC, but reported talks did not last long.
“We regularly get interest for Sebastian [Giovinco], Jozy [Altidore] and Michael -- all of them,” TFC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko told the Sun earlier this week.“It’s a matter of understanding that these players aren’t for sale. Again, if there was an offer we couldn’t refuse, then it’s something we would entertain but for the most part it’s a polite decline -- thank you but no thank you.”
In June, fellow Italian side Sampdoria were also rebuffed in a bid to acquire the services of Bradley, who is currently coming back from a knee injury.
