Riding a six-match unbeaten streak, Real Salt Lake host Supporters' Shield-leading LAFC Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.
In Freddy Juarez's first match in charge, Real Salt Lake (12-9-4) defeated the Seattle Sounders 3-0 at the RioT Wednesday night. Sam Johnson scored the opening goal in the 25th minute and Albert Rusnak and Corey Baird tacked on second-half goals to extend RSL's winning streak to three games.
LAFC (17-3-4) made it three straight wins and a sixth victory in the last seven games, beating the New York Red Bulls 4-2 at Banc of California Stadium Sunday night. Jordan Harvey and Latif Blessing scored two minutes apart midway through the first half to give the hosts a 2-0 lead. After the Red Bulls rallied to equalize late in the first half, Carlos Vela and Eddie Segura struck after the hour mark to secure the win.
LAFC beat RSL earlier this season with Walker Zimmerman scoring the winning goal in second-half stoppage time after Diego Rossi canceled out Damir Kreilach's opening goal from the penalty spot in the 35th minute.
