TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
Real Salt Lake have acquired winger Dušan Žagar from Serbian SuperLiga side FK IMT Belgrade, the club announced Thursday.
The 19-year-old will occupy a U22 Initiative roster spot. He is under contract through the 2028-29 MLS season with options through June 2031.
A Red Star Belgrade Academy product, Žagar has scored three times in 42 games with IMT Belgrade.
"Bringing Dušan to Utah marks the latest in a series of moves for young wingers in our club," said RSL chief soccer officer Kurt Schmid.
"His emerging career in Serbia saw us compete with several European suitors for his services, and we believe that our developmental track record with Andrés Gómez and Zavier Gozo, amongst others, made us an attractive option."
