People all over the world are trying to find creative ways to keep themselves occupied while practicing social distancing in an effort to flatten the curve of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. One way the soccer community is helping spreading the message is by participating in the #StayatHomeChallenge.
Atlanta United coach Frank de Boer joined in on what was the prevailing theme on MLS social media to encourage people to stay at home: juggling rolls of toilet paper. The Five Stripes boss also challenged club president Darren Eales, VP and technical director Carlos Bocanegra and Atlanta United 2 head coach Stephen Glass.
Players throughout the league also took part throughout the day. Check out some of the videos below.
And while he wasn't juggling TP, San Jose Earthquakes coach Matias Almeyda streamed himself playing some mini-basketball before reverting back to his sport of choice and juggling a soccer ball.
"For all my Italian friends, we're here in the United States in quarantine with the entire family," Almeyda said. "We're locked up at home. To all our Italian friends and all the Spanish families, stay at home please. Perhaps you can play basketball like me."
Fans are also getting in on the action, and can share their own videos on social media with the #StayAtHomeChallenge hashtag:
