Alan Pulido and Rodolfo Pizarro attend Super Bowl LV, but only one was left celebrating

Alan Pulido at Super Bowl

Alan Pulido and Rodolfo Pizarro are teammates on the Mexican national team, but the two MLS stars were on opposite sides of their Super Bowl support at Raymond James Stadium Sunday night.

Pulido, the Sporting Kansas City forward, has made no secret of his affinity for his new hometown NFL team, attending a Kansas City Chiefs playoff game almost immediately after signing his MLS contract last year.

Wearing a Patrick Mahomes jersey, Pulido was in attendance for Super Bowl LV, hoping his Chiefs would do the double.

Pizarro, the Inter Miami CF midfielder, threw his support the Tampa Bay Buccaneers way. It’s not exactly his hometown team, but the Miami Dolphins didn’t even make the NFL Playoffs so who can blame him for jumping on the Bucs bandwagon.

The two friends even put a wager on the game, although it’s unknown how much was at stake.

From a seemingly more neutral perspective, Inter Miami’s Blaise Matuidi also attended the game.
